Floristry has been a huge part of my life for over 15 years, and honestly, my favourite part was never just making the bouquet, it was seeing someone's reaction when they received it. That little smile, the excitement… that's what made me love this industry in the first place.
I truly believe that packaging played a big part in why customers would come from across the city to buy flowers from us. We had this huge wall filled with wrapping papers and ribbons in every colour, and customers loved being able to choose their favourites. But more than that, they loved the attention we gave to presentation and all the little details. The flowers could be beautiful, but the right wrapping made the whole experience feel so much more special.
Finding beautiful, modern wrapping papers in Canada, though, was HARD. The selection was so limited, and after years of wishing we had access to more colours, textures and styles, I thought… why not bring them here myself?
And that's really how Montreal Wrapping was born, a place where you can find hundreds of colours, textures and styles to play with. And yes, sometimes I go a little overboard…
My brain: “Do you really need to order both of those pinks? They look almost identical.”
Also me: “NO THEY DON'T. The undertones are completely different!!”
So yes, I get VERY excited when it's time to choose new materials. That's also one of my favourite parts of what I do: finding beautiful papers and ribbons that give florists more freedom to experiment, try something different and make their work stand out.
And whether I'm obsessing over the undertone of a new pink paper or filming a new wrapping tutorial, the goal is always the same: helping florists create breathtaking bouquets with beautiful, premium presentation and have a little more fun experimenting along the way. 🤍
Seeing you bring these materials and techniques into your own work is what makes this whole journey so special to me.
Thank you for being here, for supporting Montreal Wrapping, and for trusting my vision. 🤍
